  • A baking tray
  • A cup of flour
  • A chopstick or pencil

Setting the scene

  1. 1Spread a thin, even layer of flour across the baking tray.
  2. 2Write “SEE YOU NEXT YEAR” with the end of a chopstick.
  3. 3Press a fingertip into the flour to make tiny footprints leading off the tray.
  4. 4Sit the elf at the edge of the tray with the note.
